“Unity in Diversity” Song Video
When we look around our world, we find little unity in diversity. Diverse people in organizations, communities, and institutions often do not unify to work for the common good. Governments, churches, and even families are divided instead of unified. Sadly, we see these divisions growing wider.
It is my joy to take part in some communities that exemplify unity in diversity. Equity for Women in the Church Community was created with this goal. We have a diverse group of people working together to fulfill our mission: “empowering people of all ages, races, and denominations to realize the full potential of their divine giftedness and to advocate for clergywomen’s equity and inclusion in ministry.”
Among the other communities where I experience unity in diversity are New Wineskins Community, Ebenezer/herchurch Lutheran, and The Gathering, A Womanist Church. I have discovered “How very good and pleasant it is” to be joined in unity and diversity. (Psalm 133:1)
Psalm 133:1
Oh, how pleasant and good to be
joined with Spirit in unity.
Oh, how pleasant and good to be
joined with Her in diversity.
She will bless our community,
unity in diversity.
