Changing Church: Rev. Sheila Sholes-Ross: resources for promoting equity for women in the church

The big vision of Rev. Sheila Sholes-Ross is becoming reality! The Equity for Women in the Church Community that she initiated is moving forward to create multicultural churches with women and men sharing equally in leadership. This ecumenical, inclusive Community is facilitating access and congregational receptivity so that clergywomen of all ethnicities find leadership positions in order to transform church and society.

Rev. Sholes-Ross will lead meetings of this Community during the Alliance of Baptists Convocation at Highland Park Baptist Church, on Friday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m., and on Saturday, April 14, at 12:30 p.m.

In partnership with Community members, Rev. Sholes-Ross is planning a 2013 national conference that brings together clergypeople inclusive of ethnicities and gender to create strategies for achieving equality.
