“Wisdom Sophia Is Rising Everywhere” – “She Will Rise”
When we look all around our country and our world, we see the proliferation of violence, injustice, hate crimes. Our wounded, weary world and all of us in it are in deep need of healing. We may become discouraged, thinking there’s nothing we can do about all this. We need Wisdom (Sophia in the Greek New Testament) to guide us to co-create with Her a better world.
The good news is that Wisdom Sophia is rising everywhere. She is rising through faith communities like Ebenezer/herchurch Lutheran, New Wineskins Community, Equity for Women in the Church, The Gathering, A Womanist Church, Christian Feminism Today (CFT), Pullen Memorial Baptist Church, Northaven United Methodist Church, and many others. She is rising through courageous people protesting injustices and violence. She is rising through organizations advocating and working for social justice, peace, and equity. All around the world, Wisdom Sophia is rising!
The song “Wisdom Sophia Is Rising Everywhere” celebrates this good news and challenges us to listen to Her words and follow Her peaceful way. “She Will Rise” is an affirmation and a prayer for Her continual rising in our hearts and world, and in justice.

Wisdom Sophia is rising everywhere;
feel Her loving care.
Wisdom Sophia is calling us today;
take Her peaceful way.
Wisdom Sophia is longing to be heard;
listen to Her words.
Wisdom Sophia is bringing healing grace;
live in Her embrace.
