We will know Sophia’s truth,
and Her truth will set us free;
we will spread Sophia’s truth,
giving life and liberty.
Now Sophia sets us free,
bringing peace and harmony;
we will know Her truth and life,
helping everyone to thrive.

“You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free (John 8:32).
In order to dismantle unjust systems and bring true liberty and justice for all, we need to know the truth and to tell the truth. We need to know the truth about our country’s history of slavery, white supremacy, misogyny, patriarchy, and other dehumanizing systems. And we must tell the truth. We must know the truth about racism, sexism, white supremacy, misogyny, heterosexism, voter suppression, and other injustices that continue in our country and around the world. And we must tell the truth. Knowing and telling the truth will make us all free.
Wisdom (Sophia in the Greek Christian Scriptures, Hokmah in Hebrew) is a biblical female divine name, bringing liberation, justice, peace, and new life. Biblical writers link Christ to Wisdom: Christ is “the Wisdom (Sophia) of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24), and “became for us Wisdom (Sophia) from God” (1 Corinthians 1:30).
Christ said knowing the truth will make us free. Knowing the truth about the connection between Christ and Sophia Wisdom will make us free. Knowing Sophia Wisdom’s truth, too long ignored and stifled, will set us all free. Knowing Her truth will bring liberty, peace, justice, and abundant life for people of all genders, races, sexual orientations, abilities, cultures. “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all Her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of Her” (Proverbs 3:17-18). She walks “along the paths of justice” (Proverbs 8:20).
